Voting is Sacred
Whenever you have a free 30 minutes, I invite you to watch this excellent documentary about the local history of voting in our area. You may even recognize a few friendly faces from LIFE (Lee Interfaith for Empowerment) in the production. Remember, it's not about who we vote for, it's about expressing our voice. There was a time when this privilege was not always a given. Make a plan to vote and encourage a friend to do the same!

United We Stand
What a gift to have both of our Bishops with us on Sunday! It's always important to be reminded that we are a congregation a part of two larger church bodies that greatly expand our reach in Florida and the world. The spirit of ecumenicalism and togetherness is alive in this place!

Teacher Appreciation
We're Collecting Gift Cards!
In August, we distributed snacks and refreshments for the San Carlos Park Elementary Open House. For the remainder to the month, we will be collecting gift cards from anywhere for a year-long employee to the month effort.
Lamb of God will also include a teacher from Preschool at the Lamb to share our monthly gratitude for their love and devotion to our students.
$20-$25 Gift Cards go a long way!
Please place your gift cards in Sunday's collection basket or stop by the office.

APPRECIATION!
Lamb of God received a lovely award and sign of gratitude from San Carlos Park Elementary. It was a blessing to partner with them last year, and we're excited for the school year ahead!
With a large minority population, and just 3 miles down the road from the church, nearly 60% or the student body at San Carolos Park Elementary identify as economically disadvantaged.
If you're interested in getting more involved, we'd love to share the information about the volunteer application process. There are so many different ways to engage and contribute!

Wednesdays, 10:30 am
Beginning July 1, the Seekers group will be discussing Cherished Belonging: The Healing Power of Love in Divided Times by Fr. Gregory Boyle, SJ. Boyle is the founder of Homeboy Industries in Los Angeles, the largest gang-intervention, rehabilitation and reentry program in the world.
From the dust jacket:
“Cherished Belonging invites us to nurture the connections that are all around us and live with radical kindness. Boyle believes that ‘the answer to every question is, indeed, compassion.’ Through colorful and profound stories brimming with wisdom, humor, and inspiration, we understand that love is the light inside everything.”
